Meet, visit and Say hello to www.edrivingschool.org, a platform for all in one information access about driving education, licensing and relicensing and driving education

Today, we are excited to announcing the release of www.edrivingschool.org, Standard Gateway’s new product for the driving education market and public at large as we believe everyone will have something to gain when he/she visits the site. The product houses information and education services for both aspirant drivers, novice drivers, experienced drivers and anyone interested in enhancing skills and horizon on traffic laws and regulations while driving safety for pedestrians and drivers alike.

At launch the platform includes information for Rwanda English and Kinyarwanda, Uganda English, Kenya English and three US States. It is planned that more countries and languages alike will be added to the platform as times goes one at a time. Key information on the platform are: a detailed process on how to obtain a driver license in a particular country, frequently asked information, reference information and a structured well organized course that guide the aspirant through traffic rules and regulations on public roadways.

While we have seen over the last couple years a multitude of platforms providing driving license preparation information online, many of them fall short  having too much information or too little of information, most of the time are disorganized and hard to follow. www.edrivingschool.org has been architecture to provide filtered information that is easy to follow.

Though part of its goal is to help the student to prepare for the exam, our objective is to insure that the student is informed and fully aware of traffic rules and regulations. According to Eric Mwangi, a secondary School Teacher in Kenya, in nowadays, students sometimes just want to study questions. This is the case for universities and even other exams such as driving schools. edrivingschool.org will mitigate that culture, by ensuring that the student goes through the entire curriculum with quizzing along the way and a final exam at the end.

We are releasing the course with a reasonably set price point contrary to our original plan. One aspect where we faced challenges was business model behind the product. The original idea was to have two versions of the course for each course we publish, one Standard Course that is free and a second Premium Course with added features, but we run short on time and resources. We believe the price will be affordable and we will provide discounts and incentives when it makes sense to insure inclusiveness.

The only paid product on edrivingschool.org are courses, there are still ample of information that one can take advantage of free of charge. We decided to go part with the current culture of making everything free online for sustainability purposes. We plan to have different payment alternatives that allows anyone anywhere to transact, Paypal, Mobile Money, Credit/Debit Cards, etc. This will be a way to both allow us to sustain the product, but also to insure that people are giving value to their time and the information and education they receive from us.

Thanks to the entire SG team, partners, supporters, it is incredibly challenging to build a product that breaks boundaries, and this is just the beginning.
